Vampire Rain: Altered Species

Vampire Rain: Altered Species is an intense stealth-action video game for PS3 and Xbox 360.

According to the gamestory, Vampires, known as Nightwalkers are found to be responsible for the disappearances of millions of people in the United States and in other countries. So the American Information Bureau forms Super-Special Combat unit which is spread out to the streets of Los Angeles, California, where it was raining. This unit has four members -- John Lloyd, a combat soldier, Hank Harrison -- stereotypical squad leader, Claire Kelly--the stereotypical femme fatale, and Duane Hanson -- the stereotypical tech man. According to the plot, the rain is considered to hamper the Nightwalker's vampirism abilities. The team’s mission is to discover a lost AIB unit to take out the Prime Nightwalker, which will destroy all the other blood-suckers under his control.

In the gameplay, players take the role of John Lloyd, the only human to ever withstand or survive a physical encounter with the vampires. In this gameplay, Nightwalkers are extremely fast and can kill the gamers in 1 or 2 hits. Moreover, players can’t hide or escape from the vampires -- once if they spot the players. So if players have to succeed their mission, then it’s better to avoid most of the enemies by passing through the correct route to reach the lost unit, where it’s a must to use combat skills to take down the Prime vampire. During the course of the game, players are provided with high-powered weapons, which are more efficient to kill vampire enemies.
